Matric certificate, diploma / degree in diagnostic radiography. Certificate of registration with HPCSA and annual registration with HPCSA. Postgraduate / community service work experience required 1 year.
Knowledge of specialized procedures and equipment. Competencies: good patient care, planning and organizing skills, good communication skills, computer literacy, good interpersonal relationships, knowledge of quality assurance and accreditation standards, and knowledge of specialized procedures and equipment.
Duties :
This job entails producing diagnostic radiographs and being part of a 24-hour service delivery team. you will need to work in shifts and work overtime. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting student Radiographers during their clinical training. You will need to plan and organize the provision of radiography services according to the vision and mission statements of the Department of Health.
You will also be responsible for monitoring stock control and ensuring a high level of patient care. Departmental quality assurance is also part of the job. you will need to communicate with external and internal professionals to ensure patient safety and fair treatment.
