Production Technical Intern at Biovac

BIOVAC is one of the leading sterile vaccine manufacturers rooted in Africa, with our core purpose being to "protect life". We are looking to hire a dynamic, passionate, confident, proactive and meticulous Production Technical Intern (Fixed Term Contract -12 Months) to join a goal-oriented team.

Purpose of the role:

• To support the production department in achieving its operational objectives by providing technical assistance and contributing to the efficiency and quality of the manufacturing processes. The intern/graduate will apply their academic knowledge to real-world scenarios, aiding in the optimization of production activities and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

• Tertiary qualification in applied/technology sciences or equivalent.
• Preferred: Industrial Engineering and Chemical/Process Engineering

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

• Assist in Production Operations: Collaborate with production teams to understand manufacturing processes. Support daily production activities, including inspection, quality control, and packaging.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Organize and analyze production data, performance metrics, and efficiency reports. Generate regular reports for management, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Act as a resource for troubleshooting and problem-solving. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality control, and validation, to address issues promptly and effectively.
• Continuous Improvement: Actively participates in continuous improvements to enhance production processes, reduce risks, and increase efficiency.
• Documentation and Reporting: Responsible for maintaining and reviewing production records, batch documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Generate reports, compile data for management review, and ensure compliance with documentation requirements
