We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a leading engineering team in Johannesburg. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled professional to take on a senior technical and leadership role in the planning, design, and delivery of major civil infrastructure projects.
Minimum Requirements
BSc Degree in Civil Engineering.
15+ years’ experience in design, site supervision, and contract documentation across civil engineering projects.
Professional Registration (Pr Eng) with ECSA.
At least 3 years’ experience in managing Expanded Public Works type projects.
Proficiency in Civil 3D and strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure design.
Strong technical knowledge in roads, sewerage, water, and stormwater systems.
Advanced civil design capability, especially in complex projects
Key Responsibilities
Lead projects as a Senior Design Engineer.
Manage project inception, costing, and feasibility studies.
Compile and review technical and project reports.
Oversee project staff in draughting, design, and detailing.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards.
Review and sign off project designs and drawings.
Prepare budgets and manage project finances.
Draft contract documentation, technical specifications, and monitor construction contracts.
Drive client engagement, tendering, and business development initiatives.
Mentor, coach, and develop technicians, technologists, and engineers.
Assist with staff resource management and training within the division.
