RPO Recruitment’s client, leading and well-established civil engineering consulting firm based in Cape Town is seeking an experienced and well qualified Professional Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage engineering projects from inception to completion
Support clients with project planning, funding, and approvals
Develop and review civil designs, drawings, and technical reports
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards
Supervise design, drafting, and detailing teams
Conduct and participate in design reviews and technical audits
Prepare budgets, monitor project finances, and control man-hours
Oversee contract documentation, specifications, and construction administration
Manage project documentation, reporting, and archiving
Engage in business development, tendering, and client relations
Mentor and train junior engineers and technical staff
Assist with staff resource planning and training programs
Perform additional duties as required by management
Requirements:
BSc/BEng/BTech degree in Civil Engineering
Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng registration with ECSA
Minimum 8-12 years’ experience in the civil engineering field
Experience in the planning, design, and contract administration of roads, sewerage systems, water systems, and stormwater systems
Experience in Contract Administration
Ability to lead and oversee Technicians, Draughting personnel and Engineers
