    Professional Nurse (Lejweleputswa)

    Description

     Key Performance Areas

     Key Performance Areas

    • Part of the MMC MOVE Team.
    • Provide technical assistance to the surgeon/cutter during the VMMC procedure
    • Provide post-operative and follow-up care to circumcised patients.
    • Ensure Quality Assurance and Infection Prevention and Control in VMMC site.
    • Assist in stock procurement, storage and control in the VMMC unit.
    • Assist in the preparation of theatre and supplies for circumcision procedures.
    • Conduct health talks to educate potential clients on MMC as requested.
    • Ensure good waste segregation and disposal practices.
    • Mentor counsellors on provision of high quality HTS counselling to VMMC clients.
    • Support CQI Assessments and development CQI plans.
    • Ensure maintenance of good client’s records
    • Support overall coordination of clinic activities to ensure seamless and smooth operations.

    Requirements

    Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience

    • Diploma in General, Community and Midwifery Nursing
    • 2 years as a Registered Nurse in NGO/Community Clinic or a hospital environment
    • SANC Registration

    Desirable Required Qualifications and Experience

    • Diploma in General, Community and Midwifery Nursing
    • HIV/AIDS Management Course
    • 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse Community Nursing Health setting or Hospital setting
