Professional Nurse Speciality - Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital
Basic R425 qualification (i.e. Diploma or Degree in Nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. Current registration with the South African Nursing Council.
A minimum of four (4) years appropriate experience in Nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.
A post basic qualification with a duration of at least 1 year, accredited with the SANC in oncology specialties referred to in the glossary of terms.
Duties :
Provides optimal, holistic, specialised nursing care with set standards and within a professional/legal framework.
Effective and efficient utilisation of resources. Participates in training and research. Provides support to nursing services.
Maintains professional growth/ethical standards and self-development. Acts as shift leader in the unit (where necessary).
Communicates effectively with patients, health professionals and colleagues. Implements of Ideal Hospital Framework.
