    Programme Associate - Ending Violence Against Women (EVAW)

     

    • Under the supervision of Programme Specialist (EVAW, WPS) SAMCO, the Program Associate (EVAW) will be responsible in assisting with finalizing the development and rolling out if the iPheza App - aimed at providing critical information and resources for students and learners. The main objective of the assignment is to implement the finalization, testing and roll out of the iPheza Online Platform and the HeforShe Online social clubs on campuses.

    Duties And Responsibilities

    • Provide substantive support in management of the project: Enhancing digital platforms to address violence against women;
    • Draw up an annual workplan for the project.
    • Develop and iPheza roll out strategy of operationalizing the iPheza Online Platform so that it remains relevant to the Post-School Education and Training Sector (PSET) including TVETs,Universities and other government and non-government institutions.
    • Stakeholder engagements to faciliatate and obtain commitment for content and support for the platform.
    • Schedule project deliverable update meetings as per requirements.
    • Integrate HeforShe into the platform including promoting HeforShe social clubs at (PSET) (TVETs), Universities and other government and non-government institutions).
    • Provide substantive support to the management and usage of the iPheza platform
    • Draw up an annual workplan for the iPheza Digital Online platform finalization and content development.
    • Contribute to the final user interface design look under guidance of the Programme Specialist and in consultation with the developer and MTN.
    • Provide substantive support to iPHEZA Platform including supporting development of content for GBVF and managing the iPheza interactive anti-SGBV/IPV engagement platform.
    • Provide substantive support to the iPheza Platform advocacy plans including raising awareness to GBVF on the platform and hosting webinars with experts speaking on various issues related to GBVF.
    • Work closely with the Software Developer to ensure that iPheza Online Platform is finalized and organize the re-launch.
    • Develop content for the iPheza platform, working closely with the other UN Women programme teams linking GBVF to WEE,WPS and WPP.
    • Provide technical assistance and capacity development to the project implementing partners.
    • Coordinate with operations team on the disbursement of approved grants to partners.
    • Provide technical support in the implementation of approved grants and project objectives.
    • Identify opportunities for capacity building of partners and facilitate technical/programming support and trainings to partners - financial and programme reporting.
    • Participate in donor meetings and public information events as delegated.
    • Provide technical inputs to the monitoring and reporting of the project.
    • Monitor progress of implementation of activities and finances by implementing partners.
    • Maintain database of monitoring missions,partner reports and data on programme results and produce analytical reports.
    • Provide substantive inputs to the preparation of donor and UN Women quaterly and annual reports for the project.
    • Provide substantive inputs to advocacy,knowledge building and communication efforts.
    • Develop background documents,briefs and presentations related to the project.
    • Coordinate and organize advocacy campaigns,events,trainings workshops on the project in consultation with the communications team.
    • Draft talking points and provide necessary support to the Programme Specialist and Deputy Country Director on the project as and when needed.
    • Develop advocacy materials.
    • Any other emerging project related responsibilities that will be agreed upon with the programme specialist.

    • Trend analysis of digital world and current events in universities and institutions of higher learning.
    • Quality and elevant content for iPheza platform and advocacy materials produced.
    • Timely updating of platform and social media.
