Establishing relationships with stakeholders such as healthcare clinic staff
Quality assurance of data
Staff supervision
Planning (daily, weekly, monthly) and managerial tasks
Administrative tasks and oversight
Stigma reduction training and intervention delivery as required
Recruitment and tracking of participants as needed
Completion of consent and study interviews as needed
Core Requirements:
Four-year tertiary qualification/honours degree in Public Health or social sciences
3 or more years of research experience working with substance use, gender, and HIV work (including delivery of evidence based biobehavioural interventions).
2 years’ experience with administrative duties of research studies.
Previous experience in project management or supervisory roles in conducting interventions and other fieldwork activities for community-based research projects particularly on HIV prevention/treatment and substance use in the community.
Experience with staff supervision/training
Speak fluent English AND isiXhosa/Afrikaans (preferably some level of both isiXhosa and Afrikaans)
Have a valid South African driver’s license with current driving experience.
Be comfortable working with participants who use substances
