Project Engineer at Anglo American

Job Description:

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for: 

• Provide input and advise to ensure alignment with Process Division priorities and strategies for expansion projects

• Develop appropriate technical and financial models in conjunction with internal and external service providers

• Provide input to the establishment and development of appropriate specifications, standards and procedures for all issues relating to project design, materials technology and quality assurance/control

• Effective management for agreed ongoing, expansion and site driven projects

• Develop and implement project management support systems that are aligned to all project needs

• Prepare adhoc reports for management or other information customers

• Support and participate in the training and development requirements of the team

This position is at a Band 6 and reports to the Manager Engineering. 

Experience required:

• Experienced in project site management

• 5 years post Engineering qualification experience with 3 years working in a mining plant, chemical process environment, or a refinery. 

Qualifications:

You should have: 

• Degree or National Diploma in Engineering (essential) Preferred Mechanical, Electrical or E&I

• Project Management skills

• Valid driving licence code EB

Medical fitness test will be required.
