Project Engineer at Bidvest Tank Terminals

Minimum Requirements

• Engineering Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering
• A project management qualification would be
• Minimum 5 years project management experience – preferably in the chemical/petro-chemical industry
• Good understanding of SHEQ systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001)
• Good understanding of API 653/650 standards
• Sound understanding on hazardous

Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement an effective and efficient project management strategy for the business
• Provide input into the business unit strategic Capex investment
• Ensure that Capex justifications / business cases are prepared for all
• Ensure that a project plan is developed and tracked for each
• Conduct feasibility studies as and when
• Identify risk exposure and risk mitigation
• Ensure compliance to OHS Act and other industry applicable
• Ensure compliance to SHEQ systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001)
• Prepare and manage Capex
• Plan, organize and execute all projects within agreed time, cost and scope
• Ensure project postmortems are conducted after each
• Ensure that all project management procedures and work instructions are in
• Ensure that project systems map, and tank refurbishments map is always followed
