Project Engineer (GCC Mines & Works) at Hire Resolve

Description:

• Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join their mining company based in Mpumalanga. You will be responsible for managing engineering and infrastructure projects from concept through to completion, ensuring safe, cost-effective and compliant project delivery aligned with operational objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full lifecycle of engineering and infrastructure projects from planning through to commissioning.
• Develop project scopes, execution plans and work breakdown structures.
• Manage capital project budgets, schedules and expenditure.
• Conduct feasibility studies, technical assessments and project planning activities.
• Coordinate engineering design, procurement and construction activities.
• Manage contractors and service providers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Monitor project performance, progress and cost, implementing corrective actions where required.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with engineering, safety and statutory requirements.
• Prepare project reports, close-out documentation and performance evaluations.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• GCC Mines & Works
• Minimum 5 years' in engineering or construction projects within a mining environment
• 5 years' experience in a 2.13.1 legal appointment, with vertical shaft experience
• Experience in capital project planning, cost control, and contractor management
• Valid Driver's License
