Project Engineer at Sappi

Role Purpose

Sappi Tugela Mill based in Mandini, Kwa-Zulu Natal, is urgently looking for two (2) Project Engineers on contract for six (6) months. Below are the requirements for each role.

• Project Engineer 1 (New 62 Bar header) – Mechanical engineering background/qualification with project management experience. Must be familiar with the Pressure Equipment Regulations, SANS 347 and the AMSE 31.1 code of construction. This will involve extensive quality control review according to the ISO 3834 – part 2, particularly around the weld procedures and post weld heat treatment (where necessary). This person will also need to be familiar with the non-destructive testing requirements and work closely with the Authorise Inspection Authority.
• Project Engineer 2 (PM2 Roof) – Mechanical or Civil engineering background/qualification with project management experience Must have civil and structural engineering background. There are new ISO standards that need to be complied with. This will require a strong personality to manage the construction process and communicate with the Paper Machine personnel.
