Project Finance Transactor at Communicate Recruitment

Duties and responsibilities could include: 

• Create and manage detailed financial models to assess the feasibility, profitability and risk of renewable energy projects 
• Structure innovative financing solutions, including debt and equity options, that align with each project objectives and ensure optimal capital allocation 
• Lead comprehensive due diligence to evaluate the viability of potential projects, identifying key risks and opportunities 
• Oversee the preparation and review of all transaction-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance 
• Work closely with internal teams and external partners to secure necessary approvals and financing, ensuring smooth project execution 
• Lead negotiations with financial institutions, investors and other stakeholders to secure favorable financing terms and close deals 
• Track and report on the financial performance of project post-financing, ensuring alignment with targets and addressing any emerging issues 
• Continuously monitor industry trends, market conditions and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making and maintain a competitive edge 
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful executions' of projects, from financial closures to delivery
• Keep senior management and key stakeholders informed on project progress, financial performance, potential risks and key developments 

Skills and experience: 

• Expertise in financial structuring
• Strong analytical skills 
• Transaction execution 
• 4-5 years of experience doing project financing within a bank or an IPP 

Qualification:

• Qualified CA(SA) 
• Completed CFA would be beneficial
