    Project Manager

    JOB OBJECTIVE

    This position will coordinate and oversee various project rollout related aspects of the LCIBS African Partnership Project. Particular emphasis will be placed on cross component delivery aspects with the end goal of ensuring cross-functional teams deliver all required project elements on time, and within scope.

    • Responsible for the management of all project aspects as assigned
    • Oversee all aspects of project management, including scheduling, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, tracking project deliverables and monitoring and summarising progress of project
    • Prepare reports for senior leadership regarding status of project rollout
    • Coordinates with cross-functional teams (Academic, Technology, Infrastructure, Legal & Finance) and support the collaborative process from inception to completion of rollout
    • Schedules and conducts regular project status meetings to track progress as well as to identify issues and solve potential problems
    • Performs a variety of tasks, and leads and directs the work of others
    • Appropriately applies project tracking systems along with Office 365 Suite and especially Microsoft Teams.

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintain all internal project management documentation
    • Apply project management “best practices” and support non-project management staff that are contributing deliverables to project rollout team.
    • Communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders at varying levels of the organisation to ensure timeous delivery of project deliverables.
    • Write project documentation that serves the needed audience, including executives and technical audiences
    • Track project progress analyse project-related data to monitor and control progress of project rollout and apply learnings and findings to ensure project in always on track and course correct where necessary.
    • Apply appropriate type of project management methodologies, relevant to different deliverables.

     

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Certification in Project Management/Actively working on Project Management Certification OR minimum of 3-5 years project management experience, preferably in educational technology or software
    • Preferred background in educational technology and HE
    • Competent Communication skills.
