Develop, update and maintain a Master schedule for projects.
Develop schedules for tenders and projects.
Assess contractors' schedules.
Proactively give feedback to the Project Managers on project progress.
Monitor and update Project schedules as required by the project.
Attend regular progress meetings as appropriate, to ensure the work is being carried out in line with the agreed programmes
Ensure the proper interfacing of programmes between the Client, GIBB Mining, and the Contractors.
Issue the updated Project Schedules to the Project Manager.
Ensure the timeous collection of accurate updated information is incorporated into the Schedules.
Analyse the effects of the updated information and highlight any adverse situations to the Project Manager and Construction Manager. Ensure that the Project keeps within constraint dates and proactively issue warning alerts if running late, together with proposing possible solutions
Ensure that the Changes to the Scope of Work is incorporated into the Schedule, Histograms and Progress curves and analyse their effects. Liaise with the relevant Managers on latest Scope Changes.
Multi Discipline Planning with different Contractors and other Project team members and combining these (Sub Projects) into the Site Master Plan.
Provide all necessary schedule related input to contract claims assessments
Ensure the timeous preparation of charts and diagrams as required for reports, indicating planned, actual and forecast pertaining to projects.
To carry out additional tasks regarding scheduling and reporting not listed herein that may be required or requested by Management.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
National Diploma in Engineering
Primavera P6 certificate would be advantages
MS Project certificate would be advantages
Experience:
10 years project planning experience in an EPC/EPCM Mining Projects environment
Extensive experience scheduling projects in MS Projects
Experience in Primavera P6 or other scheduling software
Experience with EPCM Project life cycle phases
Experience in Cost and Schedule interface management
Knowledge of Document control
Experience in Procurement Operating Planning and Schedule Risk Assessments
