As a lead figure in the creative team, the Copywriter/Proofreader must consistently deliver polished work at a swift pace, displaying a meticulous eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate is driven to produce sharp, standout copy that captures attention and adds value.
This role demands confidence and initiative, as the Copywriter/Proofreader is responsible for shaping consumer perception through clear, compelling messaging. Collaborating with the Creative Director, developers, and designers, the successful candidate will be a proactive team player, skilled in multitasking, and brimming with innovative, original ideas.
Key Requirements:
Educational Background: Matriculation/Grade 12 Certificate; Certificate/Diploma/BA Degree in Copywriting and Proofreading
Experience: 3 to 5 years in a similar role
Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans

Extensive experience in professional, commercial writing
Proven ability to create compelling copy and meticulously proofread content
Experience in planning and strategizing high-profile projects
A persuasive and confident approach to creative work
Ability to collaborate effectively with designers on creative projects
Strong attention to detail and adherence to timelines
Familiarity with creative processes, including digital media
Skilled in building rapport with clients and fostering productive relationships
Proven ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Expertise in proofreading with a deep knowledge of final delivery processes and client requirements
