Grade 10, 11 or 12 or equivalent qualification. Gardening or farming experience will be an added advantage. Knowledge of farming and the use of garden equipment and tools.
Must possess physical strength and endurance to meet the strenuous demands of the position. Must be reliable, punctual, and honest. Hospital environment experience will be an added advantage
Duties :
Clean all furrows and drain areas in the institution. Wash corridors, driveways, parking areas, and sweep pavements. Clean premises by removing litter and emptying refuse containers.
Digging and weeding the garden and removing dead wood. Prepare soil for planting. Maintain flower and other beds by fertilizing, irrigating, and pruning. Mow lawns and cut edges. Clear leaves and debris. Load and unload various articles and equipment needed on the grounds. Irrigate lawns. Remove garden refuse from the terrain and lean waste bins.
Carry out pest control functions on institution premises. Adhere to any instructions issued by the supervisor. Check and report on the service of the machinery and equipment.
