Purchasing Manager: Mining at Hire Resolve

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans that align with the company's overall goals and objectives
• Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best terms and pricing for all mining-related purchases
• Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including issuing requests for proposals, evaluating bids, and selecting vendors
• Monitor and track supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery and quality products/services
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as operations and finance, to ensure alignment on purchasing decisions
• Stay current on market trends, products, and pricing in the mining industry to make informed purchasing decisions
• Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise
• Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve the company's profitability
• Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities and contracts

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Commerce
• 4 years of experience in sourcing and purchasing gained in Mining
• 2 years in strategic sourcing experience
• Previous experience in B-BBEE Reporting and Mining Charter
• Previous SAP experience
