Job description

• Write effective, scalable code
• Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
• Integrate user-facing elements into applications
• Test and debug programs
• Improve functionality of existing systems
• Implement security and data protection solutions
• Assess and prioritize feature requests
• Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions

Minimum requirements

• Completed BSc Computer, BCom IT, BSc Electrical Engineering or similar degree
• Min 3 years’ experience as a Python Application Developer
• File Monitoring: Working with file-agents that monitor directories and upload files for system processing
• Traffic Management: Experience with Ingress for routing incoming traffic appropriately
• Identity Management: Working knowledge of Keycloak and optionally Active Directory for identity and authorisation services
• Secret Management: Experience with Hashicorp Vault for managing secrets and sensitive data
• Data Management and APIs: Comfortable working with RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB for data storage and retrieval
• Messaging: Familiarity with ActiveMQ as a message broker for component communication
• Data Processing: Working with ETL workers for data parsing, transformation, and storage. In addition, you'll work with Recon Job Dispatchers and Recon Processors for handling reconciliation tasks
• User Interface: Experience in developing and maintaining Front-end UIs
• Python: Primary programming language for backend development and data processing tasks
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript: Essential for frontend development and user interface design
• MongoDB: Used as a general-purpose, document-based, distributed database for storing various types of data
• MS SQL/PostgreSQL: Relational database management system, particularly for storing metadata and supporting Keycloak operations
• Docker Containers: Employed for packaging and distributing software across different environments
• Kubernetes: Used for orchestration of containerised applications, aiding in scaling and management
