Qc Lab Analyst - Port Elizabeth at Air Liquide

• The incumbent analyses prepared gas mixtures and other products according to specification, efficiently and punctually.
• Quantitative and qualitative analysis of products, according to specification from HP Filling Station; Flammable Plant; N2O Plant; Specialty Gas; ASU; Bulk (Storage & road tankers) and Medical Filling Station efficiently and punctually.
• Ensure that calibration gasses used are available and within a stability period.
• Maintain analytical equipment in good operating condition and report faults.
• Releasing of batches (verification of analysis and final QC checks).
• Retention of records providing effective traceability.
• Assist AL laboratories with analysis as and when requested.
• Ensure that IMS and SHEQ requirements are adhered to.
• Assist with off site analysis at customers &/or AL branches.
• Calibrate analytical equipment as required.

Educational requirements

• National Diploma Analytical Chemistry or equivalent
• Matric Certificate

Experience

• 3 years experience in gas analysis
• Knowledge and Know-how specific to the job
• Knowledge of properties of gases
• Cylinder handling
