QC Supervisor at Astral Foods Ltd

The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

• Managing Quality monitors by adhering to company HR policies.
• Management of Quality Monitoring team job performance aligned to legal, FSSC 22000 and customer Requirements.
• Review and verify completed records contents.
• Plan and execute activities necessary to maintain the efficiency of  the OMS.
• Compliance to sampling plans.
• Conducting subject specific training.
• Calibration of Quality Monitors.
• Competency evaluation of Quality Controllers.
• Continued interaction and communication with all senior management.
• Verify Corrective actions implemented in processing areas.
• Maintaining and implementing 20 keys principles including Health & Safety of the department.
• Adhering to Astral’s ethics policy.

 The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

• A Matric Certificate / Equivalent.
• Relevant post matric qualification.
• Poultry Meat Inspection Qualification.
• 5 years’ experience in a Food production environment.
• Must be prepared to work shifts.
• Good supervisory and interpersonal skills.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be able to work independently and cope well under pressure.
• Manage staff professionally and lead by example.
