About the Role:

• The Quality Assurance Graduate position forms part of the I&T Governance and Service Transition Department within the VKB Information and Technology Division and is a member of the Quality Assurance Team. The successful candidate will report to the Quality Assurance Lead and ultimately to the Head of I&T Governance and Service Transition.
• The QA Graduate will work closely with the Quality Assurance Team to support the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements. Responsibilities will include planning, preparing, and executing manual testing activities, identifying defects, and supporting quality improvement initiatives in accordance with the QA Framework, methodology, and industry best practices.
• The QA Graduate role is an entry-level position within the Quality Assurance Team and is offered as a fixed-term contract position for 12 months, based in Reitz.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an understanding of the Software Quality Assurance Methodology, Framework, and Team Guidelines.
• Execute Business as Usual (BAU) and project testing activities in line with the Quality Assurance Methodology and Framework.
• Identify, log, track, and assist in the resolution of defects to support continuous system improvement and overall quality enhancement.
• Analyse test results to identify trends and root causes of recurring defects and test failures.
• Maintain knowledge of testing best practices and industry trends.
• Attend all the prescribed training on the QA principles, and system design or functionality.
• Report on the progress of assigned testing activities using defined metrics and structured reporting standards.
• Provide professional and responsive support to business stakeholders and contribute to a culture of quality, execution excellence, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Studies, or a related field is preferred. A combination of Information Technology and Commerce subjects will be advantageous.
• Candidates with a proven track record and at least two years of relevant experience within the VKB Group may also be considered, even if they do not hold a formal tertiary qualification.
• Understanding of agricultural business processes will be advantageous.
