Quality Control - In service Trainee at DSM-Firmenich

Purpose

•  The primary focus of this position is to perform Product Sample Retention (Raw Materials, Finished Goods) Flavors, Perfumery, Ingredients
•  In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures. You will focus on learning how dsm-firmenich runs.

Responsibility

•  Test Finish product and raw materials according to specification
•  Ensuring all instruments and equipment is kept clean.
•  Help in waste disposal of chemicals as per guidance by Lab Staff.
•  Discarding of retention sample
•  Maintain retention samples and retrieval
•  Coordination of Quality Control documents and forms
•  Relation to HSSE - Individual must understand the responsibilities related to hazards and environmental aspects.
•  Follow sensory best practice

You bring

•  Studying towards relevant qualification in Food Technology / Food Science or any science related.
•  Matric with mathematics as a subject.
•  Comply to good laboratory practice.
•  Ability to compound and work with precision.
•  Basic knowledge of chemistry.
•  Good sensory skills.
•  Computer literate.
•  Adequate spoken and written English.
•  Team player.
