Quality Control Superintendent X 1 REF:IVP-QCS-2501 at Ivanhoe Mines

Suitable candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
• National Diploma in Total Quality Management or relevant Engineering field
• ISO 9001:2015 Auditor certification
• Technical Trade qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, or related)
• Welding & Fabrication Inspector Level 2 Diploma (preferred)
• Relevant NDT qualifications (preferred)
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor (preferred)
• Leadership and team management
• Inspection and testing techniques
• Data analysis and problem-solving
• Communication and stakeholder engagement
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and international construction codes
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Risk management and decision-making skills

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience: 

• Minimum 8 years in Quality Control within mining/construction projects
• 10 years cross-border construction/site-based experience
• Supervisory experience in multinational environments
• Multidisciplinary QC in Earthworks, Civils, SMPP, and E, I & C projects (preferred)

Your successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

• Implement, manage, and audit the QMS in compliance with ISO 9001:2015
• Conduct inspections, tests, and measurements for Earthworks, Civils, SMPP, and E, I & C works
• Approve or reject work based on compliance with specifications and standards
• Manage NCR and CAR systems
• Lead and mentor the QC team, ensuring skills transfer and training plans are in place
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams on quality matters
• Control QC budget and reduce rework through improved processes
• Integrate HSEQ into all QC activities
• Maintain accurate quality records and prepare timely reports
