Monitors the quality of all products being manufactured in the Bakery Plant and TCCS Plant and inform Production Managers to correct defects. Emphasis on process control for all products.
Maintains an awareness of GMP practices, sanitation program, and operations to help management resolve problems:
Check the functionality of metal detector
Check Functionality of OPRP’s – Are sieves whole and being used, are fridges and freezers working
Are the correct dates (expiry, production and Julian) being used from the previous shift
Make sure there are enough copies for the next person
Coordinates and directs all activities related to product safety, product in process, and finished product.
Monitors rodent and insect control program.
To ensure that retention samples are stored in the freezer, marked appropriately for future reference and are properly managed. Maintain retention sample area as and when required. Capture retention samples summaries as and when required
Conduct the verification of scales and thermometer as per schedule
Ensure that lab housekeeping is maintained
Verify on line check at least 3 times daily
Verify that mixing sheets and online QA sheets are completed correctly
Micro sampling to be completed as required.
Conducting in-house microbiological and analytical testing as required
Minimun Requirements:
National Diploma in Food Technology, equivalent qualification or proven track record in Quality Assurance/Food manufacturing field.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) and proficiency
