    Quality Improvement Advisor

    • The role of the Quality Improvement Officer is to provide practical knowledge transfer to facility staff on how to use QI methods to improve clinical outcomes. This involves overall planning for implementation in a phased manner with the aim to achieve 100% coverage over the three-year grant period. The IO will be directly reporting to assigned SR supervisor in the district who will monitor day to day activities and approve timesheets. In addition, the IO will work closely with the sub district TB or HAST Manager and provide reports to the direct supervisor and sub-district manager.

    Technical Work Responsibilities 

    • Liaise with internal and External Customers
    • Quality Improvement
    • Assist in implementation of TB Quality Improvement activities
    • Guide and direct Aurum Staff and other Stakeholders in the development, implementation and measuring of quality improvement initiatives for the improvement of TB outcomes and closing gaps within the TB cascade
    • Coaching and mentoring staff in CQI
    • Facilitate TB QI learning sessions
    • Apply adult teaching methodologies
    • Comply with management SOP’s, Safety Policies, Practices, Procedures etc

    Requirements

    Education

    • An appropriate degree in Health, Public Health, Management or related field

    Advantageous

    • Quality Improvement Advisor qualification
    • Business Management

    Experience

    • At least 3 years in working with the department of health
    • Should have at least 3 years previous experience and technical knowledge of quality improvement
    • At least 5 years’ experience in systems design, management and analysis
