Coordination and expediting of the manufacturing process(es) and delivery of equipment. Ensure compliance with project-specific requirements.
Controlling the sequence of inspection and testing activities at the manufacturer’s workshop ensuring that activities are carried out in accordance with the fabrication schedule.
Continuous feedback and reporting.
The Quality Manager will have the necessary authority and independence to ensure that all contractual, schedule and quality requirements are met.
Drive schedule(s), by contacting vendors and suppliers by mail, phone, or visit to verify and ensure that equipment, components and goods are shipped and delivered on specified date.
Compile reports on progress of work, activities and discrepancies found during inspection within 24 hrs.
Support and co-ordinate all activities related to purchasing, expediting and shipping (as applicable)
Generate and maintain files for each vendor.
Inspect products for quality and quantity to ensure adherence to specifications.
Report non conformances found at the suppliers shop/field facilities not detected by their own Quality system.
Follow-up of corrective actions during fabrication in case of any non conformance.
Assessment of inspection activities and results performed by the supplier.
Release of equipment and material, which have been fabricated in accordance of the Purchase Order requirements by issuing an Inspection Release Report.
Accompany client’s representatives during shop visits / inspections.
Ensuring that project Quality Audit Plans are followed.
Carrying out any other function or duty that can reasonably be expected from a person employed in this position.
