Job Description

• Hire Resolve's Client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with a strong plumbing background to join their growing team in Gauteng.

You'll play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of multiple plumbing projects while working alongside experienced project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure and quantify completed plumbing works from drawings and site progress.
• Prepare and manage interim valuations and progress payment applications.
• Track project costs, budgets, labour, materials, plant, and subcontractor expenditure.
• Monitor project profitability and prepare detailed cost reports.
• Identify, measure, price, and manage variation orders and claims.
• Prepare tender documents, RFQs, and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Assist with procurement, purchase orders, and supplier negotiations.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify progress and resolve quantity discrepancies.
• Administer contracts, payment certificates, and final accounts.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts, cost-to-complete reports, and financial projections.
• Attend client, consultant, and project meetings while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related qualification.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the plumbing or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, tendering, BOQs, valuations, and cost reporting.
• Experience managing variation claims and contract administration.
• Excellent commercial awareness and financial acumen.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle.
