- Oversee LiquorShop profit and loss management, including accurate reporting and financial analysis.
- Plan and implement merchandising strategies, pricing, and promotional activities to drive sales growth.
- Monitor stock availability, quality, rotation, and loss prevention, conducting gap scans and verifications as required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, food safety, and supermarket operational policies and procedures.
- Manage staff scheduling and workforce management edits to maintain operational standards and control labour costs.
- Control expenses effectively to support budget adherence and operational efficiency.
- Maintain high service levels and operational standards across all LiquorShop functions.
- Analyse reports and implement necessary actions to improve performance and promotional outcomes.
What you bring
- Grade 12 certificate (Essential)
- Retail Management diploma or equivalent qualification (Desirable)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the liquor retail industry
- Proven experience in store management or supervisory roles
- Valid driver's licence
- Proficient in basic MS Office applications and familiarity with supermarket systems and technologies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English
- Mathematical competency and analytical skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of store operations management, promotional planning, merchandising, and stock handling principles
- Understanding of liquor products, including various types of beer, wine, brandy, and whisky
- Experience with financial management and reporting, including sales targets, profitability, budget planning, and control
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Liquor Act, Food Safety and Hygiene regulations, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
