Radiographer

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- Completion of Community Service within the relevant field of work.
- 1-2 years MRI Experiecience
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
- 2 years private practice
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
- National Diploma Radiography, BTech Radiography or Bachelor’s in Diagnostic Radiography (BRad)
DESIRED EDUCATION
- Certificate in Mammography Intravenous cannulation course
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Operate radiology equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Assist the Radiologist with procedures
- Application of Radiation protection measures to minimise radiation exposure to patients, staff, self and others (ALARA Principle)
- Provide accurate and comprehensive records of examinations performed
- Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety
- Quality control test as per SAHPRA Regulations
- Assist with modality stock control and ordering of consumables
- Assist with billing, procedural and ICD-10 codes
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- SAHPRA Regulations
- Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office)
- ALARA Principle
- Procedural and ICD-10 codes
