Reach Stacker Driver at Bidvest International Logistics

Qualifications

• Grade 12  or equivalent
• Code C45 - Capacity: 45 Tons

Experience

• 2 - 3 years experience in operating a Reach Stackers
• 2+ years expereince in using Warehouse Management systems (Tables for picking and Binning)

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring the receipt, putting away, and dispatch activities of Shipping Line containers are completed 
• Updating Pre-Shift & Post-shift machine registers, the maintaining thereof according to the high level of administrative requirements
• Reporting of anomalies picked up and resolving thereof
• Ensuring that all incoming and outgoing containers are checked against BIL QA standards 

Container Placement:

• Achieving daily rate per move targets
• Conduct all loading and off-loading of containers at the client Container Yard safely according to BIL QWI
• Process all transactions of container movements on the system after each placement.
• Achieving daily targets for all tasks relating to container movements as set by superior.
• Report all discrepancies on containers or Locations
• Conduct all loading and off-loading of containers from trailers safely & following BIL procedures

General:

• Handle the Reach stacker safely and responsibly as per the Machine manual and trining received
• Ensure daily checks on the Reach stacker is done and irregularities are reported immediately.
• Ensure the Reach stacker is kept clean and well-maintained.
• Must be flexible when required to work overtime.
• Assist the Supervisor in areas where and when required.
• Ensuring the maintenance of 5S in areas of responsibility - Machine and Yard
• Adherence to and completing of any lawful & safe task given to you by your superiors.
• Reporting of any incident as and when it happens.
• Be creatively involved in blue area discussions.
• Ensure compliance to correct PPE at all times.
• Ensure SHE policies and ISO standards as well as company policies are adhered to.
