Reach Truck Driver at DHL Supply Chain

Key Responsibilities

• Operating of Mechanical Handling Equipment 
• To ensure that damages are kept to a minimum
• Daily inspections on MHE and report any defects to Supervisor. 
• "Loading and offloading of vehicles and containers
• Ensure pallets are according to stacking standards and that there are no damages to pallets.
• When carrying out duties, follow standard operating procedures and safe working practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• Ensure that all work areas are kept neat, tidy and obstruction free.
• Preparing orders and loading of vehicles as prioritized
• RF Picking, Full pallet picking, Replenishment of stock & Picking from Pick face.
• Picking of replenishments into the pick faces
• Put-away of incoming stock into racking and bulk storage.
• Assist with cycle counting & stock counts.
• To report and record any non-conformity with regards to customer merchandise
• Adherence to Health & Safety rules
• Maintain high level of hygiene of the machine.
• To work within operating areas as determined by management and the needs of the business." 
• Record any non-conformance/incident/damage immediately. 
• Assist with the induction and training of new staff as and when required
• Complying with company policies and procedures 
• Perform administration tasks according to standard operating procedures

• Full pallet picking, putaways, stock moves and replenishment of stocks
• Clearing of production lines  
• Preparing orders and loading/offloading of vehicles and containers as prioritised
• Timeous completion of tasks managing of put aways together with the Receiving Clerk/Inventory Clerk/Despatch Clerk. 
• Record the number of pallets moved in a day and daily hand in this spreadsheet to the relevant person.
• Do racking inspections as per DHL timelines.
• Move checked product over from the checking area to the despatch area.

Qualifications & Experience

• Grade 12
• Reach truck Certificate  
• Medical declaration by the Occupational Doctor 
• Logistics or warehousing experience
• Team player 
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure   
• Ability to adapt easily to changing circumstances  
• Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
• Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions 
• Ability to count accurately and to perform simple math calculations   
• Have appropriate hand, eye and foot codetermination to effectively use mechanical handling equipment
• Ability to move products which may require bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and/or lifting.
