Reach Truck Driver at Vector Logistics

Job Purpose

• The Warehouse Staff/ RT Driver are responsible for the accurate picking, storing and movement of stock. All legislative safety standards must be adhered to at all times. It is of vital importance that the reach truck driver maintains his/her equipment and keeps it in a working condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Move pallets of stock within the Warehouse.
• Inbound Stock movement – from Freezer receiving floor to allocated bin, bin to bin, Surge floor to allocated Freezer bin.
• Handling of a Radio Frequency (RF) console, for the safe storage and retrieval of stock and confirmation of the pallet in the bin.
• Outbound Stock Movement – accurate picking of stock from Freezer to Outbound Floor, manual picking of frozen cases within the Freezer and placement of the balance of stock in allocated bin.
• Safe handling and operating of Reach Truck.
• Maintain Battery life on Reach Truck with daily checking and changing when required.
• Tidy as you go and maintain and adhere to the Warehouse hygiene and safety requirements.
• Manually stacking of stock when required.
• Take part in quarterly or daily cyclic Warehouse counts.
• Must be able to work shifts, inclusive of weekend work.
•  Must be able to Multitask.
• Ad hoc duties.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required for the Job

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of Grade 12/Matric
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
• Knowledge of RF Unit and scanning.
