    Receiving Controller - Transpharm KwaZulu-Natal

    Purpose of the Job    

    • To manage incoming deliveries by ensuring accurate and timeous receiving, processing and storage of stock and distribution of stock into the warehouse as quickly as possible. To also ensure that the receiving area is kept clean and organized at all times and implementing record-keeping procedures.

    Job Objectives    

    • Ensure that all invoices have been received, validated, and documented within 48 hours
    • To ensure correct receiving of stock in designated area
    • To ensure proper control of batch numbers and expiry dates
    • Report any discrepancies to the Receiving and Returns Supervisor
    • To monitor staff attendance and punctuality
    • Monitor and report work performance of staff in the designated area
    • Interact and build good working relationships with other departments
    • Assist in ensuring that people are utilized where the need is the greatest
    • Enforce Good Warehouse Practice principles

    Qualifications    
    Essential

    • Grade 12

    Experience    
    Essential

    • At least 1 year of relevant working experience in a similar environment and industry.

    Knowledge and Skills    
    Essential

    • Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
    • Sound understanding of stock management procedures
    • High attention to detail
    • Effective planning and organising skills
    • Problem-solving skills
    • Computer skills (MS Word and MS Excel)
    • Fluent in English as well as at least one other official language
    • Sound numeracy skills
    • Effectively communicate with suppliers, management, reps and staff

    Desirable

    • Pharmaceutical product knowledge
    • Working knowledge of the POS-i-TILL system
