Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Intern at Melomed Private Hospitals

Description

• Assist the Maintenance Department with daily air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance activities under supervision.
• Gain practical experience in the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Assist with routine inspections, preventative maintenance, fault identification and basic repairs of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment under supervision.
• Assist with monitoring equipment performance, identifying faults and reporting maintenance requirements.
• Assist with the maintenance of heat pumps, ventilation systems and associated mechanical equipment.
• Assist with the safe handling and maintenance of tools, equipment and materials.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, practical training and workplace experience.
• Adhere to occupational health and safety requirements, company policies and procedures.
• Support general maintenance activities and departmental tasks as required.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Proof of completion of an N6 Qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning obtained through a recognised TVET College
• Basic knowledge and understanding of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) and refrigeration systems
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, tools and equipment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
• Willingness to learn and develop practical technical skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
