Refrigeration qualification and a verifiable Trade certificate.
Certificate in Ammonia refrigeration, CAT B or CAT C & SARRACA registration
5 years proven and verifiable experience in maintenance, compressor repairs and commissioning large refrigeration system.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the management of all refrigeration, chilled water and air compressor issues at the site including Spiral freezers, Blast freezers, Plate freezers, Air Chiller processing AHU’s and refrigerated freezer rooms.
Minimizing of down time, analyse machine failures in the refrigeration department and take the necessary preventative measures.
Coordinate the duties of routine and scheduled maintenance as required.
Leading subordinates on new projects, suggest innovative means of power saving and develop improvement projects in the refrigeration plant.
Ensuring that start-up is done efficiently and effectively on a daily basis.
General housekeeping. Drive HACCP system.
Responsible for safety in and around refrigeration, workshop and refrigeration plant room.
Save and control electricity by effective running of NH3 compressors in line with category B Ammonia safe handling procedures.
