    Regional Head of Business Development and Commercial Operations

    The individual will support the Regional CEO in driving delivery of the business results, developing short term and long term commercial strategy. Creation and implementation of new businessKnowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage market share across the region.
    • Conduct regional competitor analysis.
    • Provide insights into competitor behavior.
    • Identify trends in the regional market across Lines of business.

    New Business

    • Actively seek out new business opportunities.
    • Identify viable new business opportunities across the region – being aware of M&A activity and opportunities for portfolio actions/rationalization.
    • Business case development.


    • Manage entities.
    • Manage directors.
    • Manage dividends.
    • Profitable management of contracts and projects.
    • Owner of regional CAPEX.
    • Regional project management.
    • Regional key account management.

    Stakeholder Management

    • Provide commercial direction to the region and General Managers.
    • Pulling in commercial disciplines across global functions.


    • Downstream oil industry operation experience.
    • Customer value proposition development.
    • Industry relevant technology exposure.
    • CAPEX management and ownership.


    • Fluent English.
    • French/Portuguese/Spanish advantageous.
    • Highly proficient in using MS Office.
    • Analytical understanding.
    • Strong negotiator.
    • Good numeracy skills.
    • Good Communication skills.
    • Networking skills.
    • Managing through influence.
    • Strong contractual knowledge.


    • Ability to recommend, develop, and implement business skills strategies and plans.
    • High energy and a ‘can do’ attitude, committed to being results driven.
    • Ability to understand and apply local commercial laws and regulations.
    • Ability to recognize compliance and risk issues and situations.
    • Advanced knowledge of management systems and practices related to commercial initiatives.
    • Personal and leadership skills.
    • Undertakes frequent travel to various global locations.


    • Masters level degree preferably in business or engineering.

    Key Relationships And Department Overview

    • Internal – Function heads, directors, GM’s, specialty segments
    • External - Regulatory bodies in multiple jurisdictions, clients (existing and potential)
