    Regional Manager: Life (FAIS)

    Job Summary

    • Formulate tactical strategy and associated delivery plans related to single practice areas. Ensure proactive integration and operational tactical enhancement.

    Job Description

    Competencies:

    People Management:

    • Coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to achieve business objectives and ensure continuous growth. 

    Strategic Planning:

    • Developing and implementing tactical strategies and delivery plans for the region or area. 

    Operational Excellence:

    • Supervising and supporting the execution of priorities by the team, ensuring service level agreements and customer outcomes are met. 

    Compliance:

    • Ensuring adherence to the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS Act) and other relevant regulations. 

    Business Development:

    • Driving new business initiatives and achieving revenue targets. 

    Risk Management:

    • Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with the business operations. 

    Financial Performance:

    • Monitoring and reporting on the financial performance of the region or area. 

    Customer Satisfaction:

    • Ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty through effective service delivery. 

    Professional Experience:

    • A minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in financial planning, covering all FAIS product categories for Financial Advice. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance frameworks, and estate planning.
    • Proven experience in leading a team of financial advisors, driving sales performance, training, and professional development, while ensuring adherence to financial planning best practices.
    • Skilled in stakeholders management, providing expert input, and managing relationships across internal and external networks, including product suppliers, branches, and regulatory bodies.
    • Ability to analyse the regional client base, identify growth opportunities, and allocate resources effectively to meet sales and revenue targets while ensuring alignment with financial advice value propositions.
    • Expertise in workforce planning, portfolio allocation, and compliance oversight, ensuring that all financial advisers maintain the necessary qualifications, training, and regulatory adherence (FAIS, KYC, risk, and compliance).

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree and Professional Qualifications
    • Regulatory Examination for Representatives (RE5)
    • FAIS Fit and Proper Requirements Applicable to this Role (Advice and Intermediary Service):
    • FSCA-Approved Qualification
    • Experience As Per the FAIS Act
    • Product Specific Training once Onboarded
    • Class Of Business Training
    • Continuous Professional Development
    • Attest To Honesty, Integrity, and Good Standing

    Education

    • Bachelors Degree and Professional Qualifications: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
