You are responsible for planning, directing, co ordinating overall sales activities and strategies across the region.
Your plans must align with business objectives, strategic plans with customer universe and store management all in the aim of maximizing profit and volumes on a sustainable basis.
Main Responsibilities:
Create regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives
Support Agents and Area Sales Managers with day-to-day store operation
Evaluate store and individual performances
Report on regional sales results
Forecast quarterly and annual sales by ASM
Identify hiring needs, select and train new salespeople
Prepare and review the annual budget for the area of responsibility
Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth
Address potential problems and suggest prompt solutions
Prepare a monthly report from the region weekly to be presented weekly
Suggest new services/products and ways of working
People Management
Budget Cascading , Measuring and consistent feedback on performance (includes Product Mix)
Who we are looking for:
5 years commercial / sales relevant experience in FMCG/Retail and 3 year commercial related tertiary qualification
3 years people management experience
Proven records of stakeholder management internally
Effective leadership skills
Proven record in driving sales and managing customer relations
Excellent collaborator
Ability to seek and sustain new business
Working knowledge of SAP / Customer Service Systems
Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager or similar.
Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs)
Understanding of store operations
Excellent communicator – written and oral (English)
Immaculate presentation and reporting skills
Strong organizational and planning abilities
High bias to problem solving
Data driven
Able to effectively cascade and management information within and across teams
