Grade 12 Certificate and MBCHB qualification that allows registration with HPCSA as an independent Medical Practitioner.
Completed community service. Current annual registration with HPCSA for 2025-2026 financial year.
Successful completion of the Colleges of Medicine Part 1 examination will be an added advantage.
Duties :
The Successful candidate will be responsible for the rendering of clinical services. The candidate will be expected to rotate between satellite and partner hospitals associated with the University of Pretoria. Supervise junior doctors (undergraduate students, interns and community service doctors).
Attend relevant administrative meetings. Implement and monitor adherence to National Core Standards (norms and standards).
Participate in all activities of the discipline in relation to teaching and research. Perform practical procedures relevant to the care of patients.
Ensure effective administration and safe record keeping in the department. Willing to work after hours (night, weekend and public holiday) to provide continuous uninterrupted care of patients.
The candidate must complete a research project as required by the HPCSA for registration. Maintain a logbook and a portfolio of learning as required by the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa.
