Regulatory Reporting Accountant at Capitec Bank

Purpose Statement

• To prepare & submit monthly regulatory returns and address queries related to the monthly/quarterly/bi-annual regulatory returns from the regulatory bodies
• To prepare detailed analytics for meetings for monthly regulatory returns
• To assist with financial statement reporting with regards to regulatory inputs

Experience

• At least 3-5 years' experience in regulatory reporting within a banking environment

Qualifications (Minimum)

• A relevant degree in Finance or Accounting - Financial Accounting
• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

• A relevant post-graduate qualification in Finance or Accounting - Financial Accounting
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)

Knowledge

The job incumbent must have knowledge of:

• Banks Act and regulations relating to Banks
• Basel III regulations
• National Credit Act
• International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRS")
• Advanced Internal Ratings Based ("AIRB") will be advantageous
• Banks Act Regulation 43 reporting requirements including Capital Adequacy Ratio, Liquidity Coverage Ratio and Net Stable Funding Ratio requirement
