Reinsurance Accountant at Bryte Insurance Company Limited

Key Tasks & Accountabilities:

Functional Management

• This role reports into the Head of Reinsurance Accounting
• System set-up and testing of reinsurance treaties
• Reinsurance technical accounting
• General ledger maintenance, including preparation of journal entries
• Reconciliations of all reinsurance accounts
• Reinsurance Statement of Accounts
• Cash management
• Monthly reinsurance reporting to stakeholders
• Participates in the design and testing of new systems impacting reinsurance
• Preparation of reinsurance treaty statistics
• Streamlining of processes
• Analysis of results and balances
• Dealing with queries from brokers and reinsurers
• Ad hoc duties

Qualifications/Experience:

• Appropriate Bachelors degree in accounting
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in finance roles in the insurance industry, preferable in reinsurance
• Completed articles in Short-Term Insurance
• Beneficial : Newly qualified CA
