Reinsurance Claims Administrator at Santam Insurance

JOB DESCRIPTION

The main responsibilities will entail executing the financial aspects of reinsurance claims, including the processing of reinsurance claims transactions, preparing claim reports and settling/recovering outstanding balances.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurate loading of all claims and reserves 
• Claims queries with relevant internal and external stakeholders 
• Reviewing of reserves and estimates bi-annually, based on the reserve report and renewal packs
• Timely payment of claims
• Monthly claims reporting (adhoc)

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Matric (minimum) with accounting or tertiary qualification with accounting as a module 
• Insurance related qualification (advantageous)
• Minimum of 1-2 years claims, finance or underwriting experience (essential)
