Reliability Assistant at Southern Oil (Pty) Ltd

Responsibilities

Reliability Analysis

• Assist and support with reliability assessments with equipment and systems to identify vulnerabilities, failures, modes, and re-occurring issues

Root Cause Analysis

• Support Maintenance Reliability Supervisor with root cause analysis

Spare Parts Management

•  Assist with keeping track of critical spare parts and flag when inventory is low to minimize down time

Documentation and Reporting

• Assist with information relating to equipment reliability data, maintenance activities

Continuous Improvement

•  Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and support Maintenance Reliability Supervisor driving a culture of reliability excellence within the organization.

Health and Safety

• Participate in safety forums created by Soill for example safety meetings and safety talks
• Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committees / representatives / management
• Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
• Attend safety education and refresher programmes
• Comply with safety policies and procedures at Soill
• Distribute safety information as and when required
• Wear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times

Requirements

•  Grade 12 or equivalent
•  Basic mechanical experience would be advantageous.
• Ability to work well with your hands.
• Basic understanding of hand tools.
•  Basic computer skills (MS Office)
