Relief Buyer (Western Cape) at PEP

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

We are looking for a resilient, efficient, agile and vibrant go-getter to successfully select &/or develop and procure appropriate merchandise in accordance with Company strategies. This position, reporting directly to the Central Support Manager, is an exciting and challenging opportunity that will require the successful candidate to contribute significantly to enabling our business to achieve its long-term sales and profit objective over various departments, as needed. This position is a permanent relief position where you will be care-taking portfolio(s) within the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supplier management (sourcing, negotiating and loading)
• Relevant Range selection and building (product sourcing, price tiering & range development)
• Budget & GP management according to departmental targets
• Product order management (Administration)
• Good understanding of trends & consumer insights
• Close collaboration with planning to support product intent in stores

JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS

• A Matric/Grade 12 certificate
• A relevant qualification in Fashion, Textile Design /Clothing 
• Production/ Product Development /Merchandising, or a related field would be an advantage
• Experience across various product portfolios would be an advantage
• Computer Literacy
• 3 - 5 Years experience in CFH retail
