    Remuneration Manager

    Job Description    

    • This role is responsible for the end-to-end execution and integrity of remuneration processes across the business. It combines hands-on operational work with strong numerical analysis and ownership of outcomes.
    • You will play a key role in the annual remuneration review cycle, payroll and benefits oversight, and ensuring the accuracy of remuneration data and reporting. This is a hands-on individual contributor role that requires attention to detail, sound judgement, and accountability for delivery.

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Remuneration and variable pay:

    • Own and execute the annual remuneration review process end-to-end.
    • Coordinate inputs across stakeholders and ensure completeness and accuracy of data.
    • Prepare, validate, and distribute remuneration outputs (including letters and related documentation).
    • Support preparation of Remuneration Committee (RemCo) packs and inputs.
    • Analyse and reconcile variable remuneration outcomes.

    Accounting:

    • Reconciliation of annual variable remuneration.
    • Full accounting function and for the 3 Coronation staff schemes, including administration and maintenance of the Shareforce system.
    • Liaising with Auditors at year-end.  

    Payroll and benefits oversight:

    • Perform monthly review of payroll outputs, including statutory submissions and reconciliations.
    • Ensure accuracy and integrity of payroll and benefits data (medical aid, retirement fund, leave).
    • Maintain oversight of leave administration and related provisions.
    • Step in to execute payroll and benefits processing where required.

    Share schemes and deferred remuneration:

    • Support administration of employee share schemes and deferred remuneration structures.
    • Assist with vesting schedules, reporting, and governance requirements.
    • Prepare inputs for disclosures (e.g. IFRS 2), with support where required.
    • Contribute towards preparation of meeting packs.

    Other:

    • SDL provision revaluation – quarterly calculation.

    Ideal Experience    

    • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role(s), with direct involvement in:
    • Payroll and employee benefits management or oversight
    • Exposure to remuneration and variable pay processes
    • Working with financial data, reconciliations, or accounting processes
    • Exposure to share schemes or deferred remuneration structures is advantageous.
    • Experience acquired in a listed or regulated environment is advantageous.

    Ideal Qualifications    

    • A completed bachelor’s degree in commerce is required.

    Most Important Attribute    

    • Ability to manage tasks to meet required deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.

    Systems Knowledge    

    • Proficiency in the use of payroll, accounting, remuneration and incentives related systems (e.g. Sage VIP, Intacct, Shareforce etc.).
    • MS Office proficiency with advanced Excel.
    • Shareforce experience will be a significant advantage.
