Description Of The Role And Purpose Of The Job

• The Reporting Accountant role is to assist with financial reporting to business functions and client project query resolutions. This includes identifying solutions for problems relating to Finance responsibilities, management accounting and information. Assisting with all processes related to management accounting and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• The provision of sound financial information and comprehensive reporting for offices (including over the borders), functions and business units to support their business decision making processes.
• Ensure compliance with local legislation, KPMG global policies and KPMG SA policies and processes.
• Assist with project opening and attending to queries regarding practice management processes.
• Budgets and forecasts – assist with planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Journal entry processing and accrual tracking
• Review accuracy of purchase order and receipting impact on financial statements
• Other ad hoc requirements as requested by the senior finance business partners, finance business partners and financial systems manager within the Finance function

Skills
Skills and attributes required for the role:

• Accounting experience minimum 5 years.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, Word.
• Oracle knowledge.
• Experience in a professional services firm.

Minimum requirements to apply for the role (including qualifications and experience):

• B Com or equivalent tertiary qualification.
• 5 Years Accounting experience.
• Experience in a Professional Services Firm
