    Description Of The Role And Purpose Of The Job
    Description and purpose:

    •  to enable large scale transformation projects by being able to link the strategy layer, technology layer and operations layer in order to create value for an organisation.

    This requires:

    • an understanding of strategy frameworks and how to apply them to an organisation
    • an operational understanding, including a business model and operational model, and ability to apply
    • an understanding of how technology supports strategy and business, and how to apply

    Financial Markets focus required.
    Motivation for the role: 

    • long term project requirement (SARB RTGS project) for a role currently filled by a resource from India. KPMG SA would prefer to build capacity internally for this role to enable DCs sustainability, particularly around large-scale transformation projects, which fulfils our strategy and mandate.

    APDP Consultant

    Description Of The Role And Purpose Of The Job

    • The purpose of this role is to perform reasonable assurance engagements of production rebate certificates (PRC's), Standard Material Declarations (SMDs) and certificates of foreign currency usage (Form C2) and agreed upon procedures on Automotive Investment Scheme (AIS), in terms of the Automotive Production Development Programme (APDP).

    Key Responsibilities

    • Auditing of PRCs, Form C2s, SMDs and AIS
    • Dealing with clients and consultants
    • Preparation of audit files

    Reporting Accountant

    Description Of The Role And Purpose Of The Job

    • The Reporting Accountant role is to assist with financial reporting to business functions and client project query resolutions. This includes identifying solutions for problems relating to Finance responsibilities, management accounting and information. Assisting with all processes related to management accounting and reporting.

    Key Responsibilities

    • The provision of sound financial information and comprehensive reporting for offices (including over the borders), functions and business units to support their business decision making processes.
    • Ensure compliance with local legislation, KPMG global policies and KPMG SA policies and processes.
    • Assist with project opening and attending to queries regarding practice management processes.
    • Budgets and forecasts – assist with planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.

    Purpose Of The Job

    • To be proactive in all aspects of immigration matters to support Immigration engagements for KPMG South Africa

    Key Job Duties Or Responsibilities

    • Collate, prepare and submit applications to the Department of Home Affairs for various visa types as required by our clients
    • Prepare responses and liaise with the Department of Home Affairs on a regular basis regarding applications lodged
    • Produce accurate work to a high technical standard
    • Interpret & apply theoretical knowledge
    • Keep up to date with changes to legislation relating to Immigration
    • Identify problems and provide client guidance and use various tools and techniques to provide suggestions on how to solve them

    Software Asset Management Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support to grow the Software Asset Management business, through the participation in marketing initiatives and building pipeline and business development activities
    • Coach and develop junior team members during projects
    • Display diligence during the execution of any work of KPMG’s internal risk management processes
    • Assist clients build a roadmap to address future of SAM
    • Managing and conducting software license reviews on behalf of software vendors on their customers

    • Must have experience in performing software compliance reviews
    • Must have in-depth understanding of processes in performing software compliance reviews
    • Good understanding of Virtualization
    • Ability to interpret contract and procurement terms
    • Have exposure and knowledge on SAM tools like Flexera or SNOW
    • Good understanding of IBM software and IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT) will be an advantage
    • Internal Audit experience will be an advantage.
