Software Asset Management Manager at KPMG South Africa

Key Responsibilities

• Support to grow the Software Asset Management business, through the participation in marketing initiatives and building pipeline and business development activities
• Coach and develop junior team members during projects
• Display diligence during the execution of any work of KPMG’s internal risk management processes
• Assist clients build a roadmap to address future of SAM
• Managing and conducting software license reviews on behalf of software vendors on their customers
• Develop and manage project budgets to ensure it is consistent with the project objectives and aligned to the project scope and deliverables

Minimum Requirements To Apply For The Role

• 6 + years of experience in Software Asset Management
• IT Degree/ Diploma
• ITAM/ SAM certification
• An understanding of concepts related to IT Asset Maturity Assessment
• Must have experience in performing software compliance reviews
• Must have in-depth understanding of processes in performing software compliance reviews
• Good understanding of Virtualization
• Ability to interpret contract and procurement terms
• Have exposure and knowledge on SAM tools like Flexera or SNOW
• Good understanding of IBM software and IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT) will be an advantage
• Internal Audit experience will be an advantage.
