Research Analyst – Rest of Africa | Listed Equities
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Equity Research / Investment Analyst to join a leading institutional investment environment, focusing on listed investments across the Rest of Africa.
The successful candidate will conduct fundamental company and market research, develop investment theses and provide well-supported buy/sell recommendations while contributing to the Rest of Africa investment house view.
Key requirements:
B Degree in Commerce, Finance or Science
3–5 years' relevant financial markets experience
Strong listed equity research and fundamental analysis capability
Proven ability to build, maintain and update financial/valuation models
Strong understanding of macroeconomics and its impact on companies, sectors and investment portfolios
Ability to formulate investment theses and make security recommendations
Strong financial, analytical, numerical and presentation skills
Willingness and ability to travel across the Rest of Africa
FAIS RE5, or willingness to obtain it within 6 months of appointment
Highly advantageous:
Investment management research, investment banking or private equity experience
